We had a nice stay at the hotel Vittoria. The location is perfect for the beach, old town and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk. The front desk staff are lovely. The hotel feels like it’s used for lots of tours which means breakfast is …
Lovely hotel only a short walk into the town and harbour where there's a good choice of restaurants. Our room was large and on a corner. Our balcony, although not very wide, wrapped around two sides of the room so we had views over the …
Lot of positives…amazing spa facilities; good location, solid continental breakfasts and nice staff.
Our issue was WiFi. Just never worked in our room. Staff tried to help but hotel needs a major WiFi upgrade because outside of main lobby, we never had proper WiFi and that hurt our ability to work from hotel.
We loved this hotel, the staff were so friendly, especially on reception. Our room was large, with two good-sized wardrobes, a safe, toiletries, fridge, and a balcony with drying facilities. Decor is a bit dated but very much in the …
Quickly checked in by helpful staff.||Key card didn't work had to use a traditional key.||Air con broken, moved rooms. No problems. ||Missed tea coffee machine but it's Italy.||Restaurant food ok but not exciting, breakfast poor.||So why 4 stars not less? The staff were great.||Thank you Team Vittoria
We did not stay at the hotel but did use the pool and ate dinner twice at their INCREDIBLE restaurant! The food is probably the best we had in Otranto. The entertainment on Friday night's with local folk players had The entire crowd involved and "allegro" all night long. Wonderful, wonderful evening! The lobby, lounge, restaurant, garden and pool areas are exquisite so if that's any indication the rooms must be very well appointed. I'd give 6 stars if I could!
Great location, 5 mins walk from beach and city centre. Upgraded to extra large room. Hotel extremely clean, outdoor pool a big plus. Staff very helpful and friendly, especially Adriana from Matera! We asked for late checkout on our last …
Aspires to be better than it is..
Yes it has a pool, which is a Godsend after a hot day at the beach but one of the showers at the pool doesn't work, there are weeds sprouting from the drains and both times we went to the pool there were no towels - the first day I got fed up of waiting and after 40 mins went to reception and asked for some; the second day they did arrive pretty quickly.
The rooms - h'mmm.. they're very tired. We were lucky to book one overlooking the garden, the other ones overlook the carpark.
The room we stayed in, and various others, had had the locks replaced haphazardly, so much so that we found the door open one morning after definitely closing it the night before.
The TV didn't work, lots of people have mentioned this in other reviews, it didn't bother us too much but still..
The bathrooms were ok, shower in bath arrangement. Bath was a spa bath but the jets looked so filthy I was never going to use it. Also it's the details, if you claim to be a 4 star hotel then don't leave old bits of shower rails still attached to walls and make sure soap dispensers work..
The rooms have a balcony, but there's nothing but containers of dead laurel separating each room's balcony from the next and 2 basic plastic chairs, not even a table on the balcony - 4 star, I mean.. come on!!
Breakfast.. blimey, where to start. It's awful. The only 'hot' option was scrambled eggs, The juice was some horribly sugary concoction. At times there was no milk, no bread, no ham, no eggs, only ever 1 small plate of sad looking rocket and green tomatoes, tons of cake though if you want to stuff yourself with sugary stuff in the morning. I don't personally..
The staff were generally pretty good though.
With a bit of investment this place could be great, it's a really good location for the old town and probably the nearest / only hotel with a decent sized pool but I think it plays on that - it's definitely not 4-star and at over £200 a night is a clearly a rip-off for the standard of room, breakfast, everything really..
